I was just thinking here that I'd expect to see a nice bump in ReadyNAS sales when 4.0 comes out with its SSH access. Having some freedom should go over well in the home and small business.

Not so sure here. How many people are going to actually use it?

Not sure how many are going to use SSH? I'd expect that a good portion will use it, even if it's infrequently. There's another thread somewhere on SSH and people have really been asking for it.

I think the hardcore people are going to use it. I am not so sure on the bulk of the clientele though.

Well, I guess it depends on who the customers are. I guess I just don't know. I'd assume geeks (home use) and IT folks.

Well, if those prices and the elimination of the barebones ReadyNAS's mentioned in other threads are a sign, Infrant/NetGear's looking to get the non-geeky types.

Fair enough, but that's still my guess of the demographic most likely to buy. Just like with Mac, you don't have to open the terminal if you don't want to, but many users find themselves doing it at least once.
