Performance Issue After Adding 2nd NIC

Performance Issue After Adding 2nd NIC

Postby mptamman » Thu Jan 12, 2012 2:02 pm

This is a follow up to this post: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=118&t=59333&p=333495

We have a RN12P2GE-100WWS ( https://www.google.com/search?q=RN12P2GE-100WWS ) card in the ReadyNAS 3200. We are running the latest OS.

The NAS recognizes the added card but the entire device becomes sluggish, VM's stored on it won't start, and the web interface times out and becomes non-responsive.

When we take the card out and the issue disappears and performance becomes snappy again.

Any ideas what could be causing this and what might resolve it?

Thanks for any help,

Mark

It ends up the NIC doesn't agree with there being USB drives plugged in.

Unplugged the USB drives restarted the system and the performance issues were resolved.
