chirpa still goes above and beyond, post-NTGR ;)

So my last day at NETGEAR was yesterday. Did the exit interview, gave up badge, etc.

This morning I'm at an alignment shop getting the old car ready for a long road trip. It sounds like a ~2 hour wait, so I brought my laptop with me. Tethered on the iPhone, and posted RAIDiator-4.1.9 as a going away present ;)

I'll still be around the forums here, since I use a ReadyNAS at home still. Don't have the inside scoop anymore, but I'll still do what I can to help out.

Thanks chirpa. Have a great trip!

NB: A ReadyNas is not an excuse not to have a backup. Fire, theft, multiple disk failures, other hardware failure, floods, user negligence etc. can all result in loss of data.

Enjoy your vacation. You didn't tell us if it will be a short one or permanent like mine (retired). However, I bet you still have access to the inside scoop, at least for a while longer. You should still have friends there.
Remember - the NAS is not a backup plan.

Backup = Good, No Backup = Bad

You can trust it. And I didn't build it. Only posted it once approved. The council signs/encrypts firmware images.

I knew all that--just yankin' your chain, while I could! :neener:

Sorry to see such a good person leave Netgear, but I wish you well, sir. :wavey:
