How much of the spam does it pick up?

Unfortunately, I can only moderate posts.
The guys who can do more than that are all MIA.

I've deleted roughly 15,000+ posts in the last 2.5-3 months.
On average, I'll delete anything up to 200 spam posts every 24hrs and there have been four occasions where I've had to delete 2000+ spam posts.
Some are repeat visitors but I don't have the necessary permissions to ban those users.
Weekends are the worst. Wednesday appears to be the quietest.

Only one other regular appears to be visiting the Firefly forum. When he stops posting, I'll stop deleting spam.

It's almost 3 months later and he's almost done another 1000 posts. He is posting a lot and still catching up.

I'll probably be over 9000 posts tonight heh. Still at the office doing some tests for users. Next post shortly will be up to date steps for installing VirtualBox, waiting for my poor box to finish compiling. My Pro at my desk here is crippled, only 512MB ram in it, not the usual 1GB, or 4GB like my home box hehe.

And to figure, I've barely be on the forums in the last 2 months, too much side tracking on other projects to keep up.

It's possible to use a Pro with less than 512MB RAM? Why don't you upgrade the work one if 512MB RAM is an issue?

So you're saying that you may have done another 1000 posts or so if you hadn't got side-tracked?

The Pro works fine with 512MB, but obviously not at the same performance level that the production models with 1GB would be. So doing lots of compiling takes a bit longer.

Yes, if I was more active, I'd have way more posts heh.

So you've hit and gone over 9000 posts. Maybe a new thread when you hit 10000?

* chirpa chews through yoh-dah's cat5 cable, and knocks over the wifi antennas.
* chirpa then puts a beaver beside it to take the blame.
