ReadyNAS won't save settings [Case 19049306]

Postby alainrussell » Mon Jul 23, 2012 11:45 pm

I've just filed a case with support but hoping I can get a faster answer here..

I tried to setup a LAG on my ReadyNAS pro today and have run into all sorts of problems. The LAG would not save settings for some reason so I ended up needing to reboot the NAS.

Once I had rebooted the IP address was set as 192.168.168.168 on both interfaces and I could not change it (saving the Frontview config page always refreshed to the same settings). Frontview is also complaining that there is somethign wrong with the "Fan CAS" and "Temp AUX" - both which I have never seen before and are showing "Out of Spec" on the health page.

I decided to re-install the OS and when I logged in (the IP addresses changed to DHCP) I still cannot save any configuration changes .. each time I click "Apply" the screen refreshes and all the changes are gone.

I am running RAIDiator 4.2.21.

I have just tried to load the addons for SSH but trying to load these showed an error that they were not the right architecture (even though both files were _x86 versions).

Hoping someone else has seen this and knows how to fix it.
Thanks
Alain

Sounds like OS partition is probably full. Work with support on this. Edit the thread title (i.e. subject of first post in the thread) to include your case number.

This problem is observed when the 4GB OS partition is full. If this is the case support would need remote access to fix it.

Do you know what the standard response is for support? Can I buy business level support somewhere? Not encouraged that the case has not been touched for 14 hours by a support rep...

Great thanks. We use this as off-site backup for our virtual cluster so would be good to get is sorted ASAP.
