I am having a hell of a time trying to utilize my Ultra Plus as a media server that will stream my large music collection to my 4 Netgear MP101s.
I have tried Twonky on a PC but it cannot stream from a network drive, according to Twonky.
I have tried using the software that came with the MP101 but it cannot function if the library is on a network drive.
I have tried using ReadyDLNA but it doesn’t properly stream to my MP101s, stopping and starting unrepentantly.
Tonight I plugged the ReadyNAS into the PC using a USB cable hoping that the ReadyNAS would be seen as a local removable drive, but the PC does not see the drive.
I had read on your forums that PCs should be able to see a ReadyNAS plugged into the USB port.
Replacing the MP101s is not viable for me because the modern media players are designed for video but my use is solely for audio, and, thus the cost is prohibitive.
Should my ReadyNAS (RNDP400U) be seen by the PC?
