I've bought a ReadyNAS to handle a 2TB music collection encoded in FLAC. My network (Airport Extreme) reads the NAS and the Squeezebox Touch that I have, and I can play files off the NAS using the SBT (through a Benchmark DAC). What I'd like to do is patch the ReadyNAS to the SBT (using a quality USB cable that I have), so that the SBT would read the music folder on the NAS as if it were a "USB device." Is this possible? And if so, any sense of how? For my primary listening, I'd rather not be feeding hi-res files over the network but instead create a shorter, more direct path of file on NAS to SBT to DAC. Thanks for considering the query.
