Share no longer visible after firmware v4.1.8 - attn W13

Postby readynasuser684 » Sat Aug 04, 2012 9:21 am

I have a share (with the same name as my user account) which was all working well for many months. A few weeks back I updated the ReadyNas Duo to firmware v4.1.8 but recently noticed that the share with the same name as my user account is no longer visible (even under RAIDar).

Has anyone else had this problem / or advice on how to resolve?

Please don't update to 4.1.9, there is a ownership issue,
you may update to 4.1.10-T3,

Also, have you made sure you are logged into the ReadyNAS as that user? If on Windows, the "net use" command in the command prompt would tell you.

Thanks for the suggestions.

@mdgm - I've checked and yes I am logged in as that user (the PC only had one user account).

@evan - Thanks for the heads up.

Is there a way I can find out if the share is just hidden or actually deleted?
And any ideas when 4.1.10 will be formally out of beta?

Thanks.

Login to CIFS (e.g. \\ip.address.of.nas as "admin"). If it was a share under Shares > Share Listing it should show under e.g. the "C" share. If it was a private home share for a NAS user then it should show under /c/home

We looked at the logs and didn't notice anything about missing shares.
Please report a case to support team, maybe we need to remote access.
