Are Rev B ReadyNAS 600 and X6 same hardware?

Hi, I have a simple request. I'd like to buy a ReadyNAS X6 in a black case. I've already purchased a ReadyNAS X6 that is the default grey color for my server room but I want my next ReadyNAS to be black because it will most likely be visible.

So, because for some reason it appears the 600 is only in black and the X6 is only in grey...can I do one of the following:

1) Buy a ReadyNAS 600 and flash it with the firmware for the X6? I would assume that since both units recently became Rev B, you probably were interested in saving costs by developing one common hardware platform, separated only by different firmware versions?

2) Buy a ReadyNAS 600 and RMA the board from inside to Infrant in exchange for a replacement X6 board, perhaps for a small fee.

3) Order a ReadyNAS X6 straight from Infrant in a black case, again perhaps for a small custom build order fee?

I also still haven't seen a response to a question posted on how I can purchase a spare white drive tray for my spare drive to speed things up when a drive fails. Please add that answer as well.

Yes. And if I understand correctly, an upcoming firmware release will allow you to switch between the functionality of the 600 and X6.
