Robocopy files to ReadyNAS with ACL?

Postby jimhelfer » Thu Jun 21, 2012 2:40 pm

I am transferring files to my new ReadyNAS and the file permissions do not seem to be following the files. I am using Robocopy with the following syntax:

ROBOCOPY [WindowsSourceDrive] [ReadyNASDrive] /COPY:DATSOU /S

However, the copied files are not successfully carrying the source file permissions. They only end up with the permissions inherited from the destination parent folder.

Does anyone know of another method to get this function working? Our file structure is a little complex, and updating manually would be time consuming.

Thanks
Jim

I'm trying with the /SEC switch. Seems to be giving me the same results.
