** HELP ** Windows 2003 Domain Mode And share Settings ??

Postby scyzo » Mon Apr 16, 2007 4:06 am

Help me out here im trying for days to understant how the Infrant 1100 works, on a windows 2003 domain neighborhood.

Ive created a SHARE called "TestShare1" with FrontView.

And ive set the Default Access of "TestShare1" to Read-only

The "Advanced CIFS Permission" is not enabled

Then i go to TAB "Advanced options" in FrontView and set it like this:

Share folder owner : admin_james with Read/Write
Share folder group : admin with Read/Write

Then i apply the settings.

Now i logon with admin_james on the win2k3 machine and go to \\nasserver\TestShare1 right-click properties

owner : admin_james Full Control

now i want to create a subfolder in this share Access denied!!

Is it so difficult to create a subfolder ??

ive added admin_james to Write-enabled users in first screen of the share security settings in FrontView now he can write too ok.

Now i create a folder called

"TEST"

and grant a Domain users "LT001" Full-Control on the Folder \\nasserver\TestShare1\TEST

Added in the logon script of the user
NET USE X: \\NASSERVER\TestShare1\TEST

When the user logon he gets a X: Drive and cant create folder or files when u check propertys the user haves Full-Control.
