ReadyNAS NV+ and ADS authentication

I am looking for documentation on exactly how the ADS authentication works with the ReadyNAS NV+. I did search your site to more informatin but wasnt able to find anything. Before I attached the device to my domain I really want to understand what is specifically happening technically.
