So is there any way of getting a ReadyNAS to appear in a Vista network map ? It seems you need to have the Windows Link-Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) Responder installed and I guess that that isn't in the firmware ?

Have a look at the available addons created by Super-Poussin on http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=20088

One of them is a Link Layer Responder addon.

Be aware that you need the new BETA firmware for this to work properly.

Hmm, I tried that and it still doesn't appear. Mind you I think there is something strange happening anyway as an XP computer I have on the same network seems to appear and disappear randomly from the map. It might be because i'm networking thru Powerbus ports.
