Cannot add any ADS objects to the ACL for a Share

Postby DivideByZero » Thu Apr 05, 2007 10:23 am

First: I have read and tried everything in the Sticky.

I have a ReadyNAS NV+ and it is upgraded to version: v3.01c1-p6 [1.00a034] of RAIDiator™.

The device is using the Domain Security mode and is successfully joined the domain. I have created a number of shares and now wish to set the ACLs. However when I open the UNC and select the Security tab within Explorer, I can not see or assign any ADS objects. The response is that these objects do not exist.

I have been treating this device as I would any other SAMBA connection, but with little to show for the effort. Can anyone provide direction.

Thank you in advance! :D

Same problem here. No response in forum, no response from Infrant support. So far I feel sorry I have bought this ReadyNAS 1100 :( No more.

Are you setting ACL from Domain Contoller with admin rights OR windows clients? I need more detail on how you are setting it in order for me to check it here.

This is what I've:
1. ReadyNAS attached to Windows 2003 Domain Controller.
2. I've a default ReadyNAS backup share where I can browse from Domain Controller and I am able to set the file/folder level permission from share folder properties.

Thanks.
