PS3 Media Server for ReadyNAS PRO

I've done everything.......... /media and en are in the boxes......... I've turned PSMedia off and back on......... I've rebooted the ReadyNas..... I still do NOT see the PSMedia player in the PS3....... all I see is the ReadyNas and NO .ISO files.

I don't understand what's wrong.........please help.

Did you install any other Java add-ons that could be conflicting?
Did you install ssh access to the box (if so you could ssh in and do a ps to see if the pms process is running)?

Maybe try removing all 3 add-ons and start over.
First install JRE4ReadyNas_1.0.bin
Then PMS4ReadyNAS_3.0.bin
Then MPlayer4ReadyNas_1.0.bin

I think by default it starts with settings /media and ru -- it should still start with those settings (and probably still find your files). The fact that you don't see the PMS server on your PS3 is the bigger problem--then you can worry about it not finding the files.

The only add-ons I have are those 3 and Readynas Remote. I'll try removing those 3, rebooting, then re-adding in the order you suggested. BTW, my router is a Netgear WNDR37AV and I have new PS3 106gb's...... not sure if any of that matters.

PS3 Media Server is working on my ReadyNAS Pro - so far so good...
But in DVD/ISO-Folder's I don't get other languages to work!

If I use PS3 Media Server on a PC I get all the different languages and subtitle formats in the TRANSCODE folder - not so on my ReadyNAS.
Is this not supported?
How to set this Server to play my DVDs in German?

(with TwonkyServer on ReadyNAS Pro I can switch between the different languages, but it is not capable to merge all the vob-Files to one - so it's also not a good solution)

when I used the PS3 Media Server also on a PC I get a conflict with the same ports (:5001) - did not appear on my PS3.
So I set the PC Version on Port 6001 - since than I can see both Servers.

Perhaps it's an option you need to turn on in /addons-config/pms/PMS.conf file?
Or maybe setting your language to "de" would cause it to prefer the German track over the English one?

I installed all 3 add-ons last night in the correct order. Afterward I was no longer able to access my ReadyNAS Pro Pioneer shares or frontview. RAIDar could not find the NAS either.

I reinstalled the firmware today by using the reset button method today. I can now access the files and RAIDar finds the NAS, but I cannot access frontview. New IP is 192.168.1.199 and I've tried logging in with IE, Firefox and Chrome.. no luck. Need help!

Hi,

Playstation Media Server is working flawlessly on my ReadyNas Ultra. It is so good to have this! However I cannot get any radio stations to work. I have added them to the WEB.conf and they show up in the list on the playstation, but I get "Corrupted Data" error. Anyone got this working?

Is anyone maintaing this? Perhaps if Igor has no interest/time someone could take over if the source code is made available? It is such a good add on that I'd hate to see it stop developing.

So yeah;

I've installed the 3 packages provided by Igor on my ReadNAS Ultra 4 plus, but my PS3 does not seem find the media senter.

I tried starting it manually by executing /addons-config/jre.1.6.0_22/bin/java pms.jar , but that gives me a NoClassDefFoundError exception.

So im really at a loss here, Any chance on an update Igor?

I installed the 3 add-ons and is working after NAS reboot, THANK YOU.
A new version for PS3 Media Server is available 1.22.0 for Linux (on code.google.com), hopefully will have the add-on for Netgear.
