RaedyNAS Ultra2 bt

Postby tommychlee » Wed Jun 27, 2012 11:35 am

I newly buy a ReadyNAS Ultra2, but I can't find any agent or tools for bit torrent download from the CD

I used Qnap before, there is an agent install in my Mac (called QGet) what will call the bt client when I double-click the torrent file automatically. I have tried to install Transmission, but I seems I cannot control it from my Mac, it needs me to goto the ReadyNAS Frontview to open the torrent file to start the job.

Can anyone help?

Thank you.

Make sure your NAS is powered on and transmission is running then start transmission remote.
On the toolbar click options and then local settings, click the server settings tab then click add server, now select it in the list then at the bottom on the server tab put hostname of your NAS and the same port number you use to connect to Transmissions web interface from frontview, now click the authentication tab and put the same user and password you use for Transmissions web interface from frontview and tick enable authentication box, then click save and connect it should now connect.

Start transmission remote then on the tool bar click options then local settings, then click server settings tab and click add server then select it in the box below, now at the bottom on the server tab you need to put host name of your readynas in the host box and port number in the other box, that is the same port you access transmission from frontview then click save server button, now select authentication tab and put user = admin and password = password unless you have changed it, its the same user name and password you access transmission with from frontview then tick enable authentication box then click save and connect, it should now connect to transmission of coarse make sure readynas is on and transmission is enabled
