I've just installed Transmission 2.50 for ARM, and now the open torrent button does't do anything in standard mode. Kettu mode works ok though.

Have you tried clearing your web browser cache (e.g. Temporary Internet Files)? Do you get an error message?

Were you running a previous version of the add-on?

Also, have you tried using a different browser?

Yeah I had the previous version installed. Using Chrome, I tried force refreshing with CTRL+F5.

I've just tried it again and it works now.. how odd. Must've been a cache thingy.

Also, while I'm here. If I set my torrents to start immediately, quite often I get "tracker returned an error: Error data lost". This happens adding the torrent manually, or even using the watch directory. I've tried googling for info, but no-one seems to mention that error. Also it only seems to happen private torrents I think.

When I am adding new torrents they download 3-4% and then stops. Inside transmission remote the torrents goes red (broken)??

I just fatory reset my nas (NVX) and updated transmission to newest version. Does anyone have a clue here?

Regards

EDIT: Oh I can see theres an error: Error: Permission denied (/c/media/BitTorrent/torrantname) Where do I set permissions correct?

EDIT2: I have now enabled SSH access and logged in as root. But what do I do now?

I noted that when I search for an RAIDiator update, the NAS says theres an update, RAIDiator 4.2.19, but thats the version thats currently installed! hmm.

The NAS doesn't check the latest version against your installed version, it simply displays the latest version on the update server, so you'll always see that message.

This I also would like to know ... :)

My duo dies last week, I'm looking for a replacement hoping the disks are good

sorry for this guy

Also interested in it. Reverted to old version becouse of problems with latest version that it freezes after a while(transmission). So hoping 2.50 fixes it. Just posting to let u know there is more interest!
Still great work ofcourse!

If you have SSH access to your ReadyNAS, go to the /etc/default directory and edit the 'services' file there. Delete every line that starts with "TRANSMISSION", save the file and then retry installation. Should work.

Perhaps a stupid question, but how do you go about to update the current transmission thingy installed on the NAS? I got 1.5TB in 8 torrents that i'd like not to readd. The hash calculations takes for ever. Did that with the beta, and it wasn't that fun.

Is this the NV+ v1 (i.e. Sparc) you have? If so, it hasn't got a 2.50 update yet. The developer's NAS died. See http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=344075#p344075

The Transmission thread for Sparc is here: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=24271

Installation is via System > Update > Local. When you update an add-on it runs the add-on remove script in a way that preserves add-on configuration.

Yeah, i saw, poor fella. And yes, it's for a future update on a NV+ v1

So simply install as if it was the first, and it should behave properly. 'aight. Thanks.

Hey All:

General question (and forgive me if this has already been answered): Does the current version of Transmission for the Duo allow for the use of Proxies or not? I've seen conflicting information from '09, '10 time frames that say it does, then others (like the Transmission wiki) that says it does not.

As Live would say - "the confusion sets in..."

Thanks for the help!

I have EXACTLY the same problem. And I have tried to find a solution with no luck. Tips?

Thanks,

Follow the advice given here.
Make sure you do that for all shares that contain a folder used by Transmission (downloaded folder, incomplete folder, etc)

It worked perfectly! Last time I missed the checkbox.

Thanks!
