The v2 i think is a faster processor being arm rather than sparc. Probably should have researched the unit a little more and got a slightly faster one.

Ok, so I have upgraded to two brand new supported 2TB WD drives (which took 2 days to complete). Everything works well - streaming, write performance (well enough anyway). However, logging into its GUI is still slow, and transmission still really very very slow. I have tried installing the old bittorrent manager, added a torrent to it and it downloaded in a very short time at full speeds my broadband supports. Tried the same exact torrent on transmission, and I am still waiting for it to start. Been about 30mins so far. Transmission refresh time is ultra slow. The transmission gui program on my mac (also tested on win7 pc) takes about 10-20 seconds to request a refresh from transmission.

Do anyone else experiance similar issues?

I'm just guessing, but your likely to have low memory issues.

I've got the NV+, rather then the Duo, upgraded memory to 1GB, and stuck 4 2TB drives in it. WIth 82 torrents active, it IS slow to respond to Transmission Remote, and the NAS it self is to slow to ever hit my transfer speed limits, but it ticks along at a steady 3.5-4MB/s total. CPU & memory limitations means thats all i ever am likely to get.

On the topic of updates... super-poussin Had a falling out with his unit, so he isn't developing for our sparc units "right now". Back in march he was hoping to have a new unit by the end of the month, but it seams that didn't happen. He's still around, about 2 3 weeks ago, he said this:

I know it's not much to go on, i agree. I also want a updated version to see if it can squeeze a little extra out of my NAS, but thats all he said, here.
And as such, thats all i know.
B!
