Locale Fix in beta or previous (> 4.2.16)

Hi Jeidis,
I had this UTF8 Locale problem : http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthrea ... post685827.
Furthermore FTP access would also show up with nasty characters.
So I upgraded to beta from 4.2.16 and everything was back to "normal".
Was my locale problem fixed in a previous release (>4.2.16) or is it 4.2.20?

Is the message :
locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory
locale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directory
locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory

something that should/could be fixed. I didn't have it on 4.2.16....but I'm more than happy with the tradeoff
My language setup has always been Français(Unicode) in Raidiator (pre and post upgrade)

ok....so now my SqueezeBoxes all display the date in English....but the menus are in French.

Is that because of : LANG=en_US.utf8 ?
