New NV+ Photo user problems

Postby ajm » Thu Feb 02, 2012 2:07 am

Decided to get off my backside and put some add-ons on my NAS and start getting the most out of it.
Here is what I have done.

Activated ReadyNAS Photo via frontview
Installed and registered ReadyNAS Photo
Created a user on my NAS via frontview that matched the id registered in Photo

When I run PHOTO on my PC it doesn't want to find my NV+ most of the time and I have to manually connect.
Once I am all connected it tells me I have no albums, thats OK.

When I click to import albums nothing happens.
IF I click it again I get a pop-up saying "Windows ImportCollectDialog is already register is the DOM!!. be sure to use setdestroy on close() "

Anyone have any ideas ?

Which version of the NV+ is this, the v1 or the v2? See How to tell whether I have a Duo v1 or Duo v2 or NV+ v1 or NV+ v2

If the v1 (Sparc), I wouldn't spend too much time working on setting up Photos I. See End-of-Life Announcement for ReadyNAS Photos I.

If you have the v2 then Photos II is well worth setting up.

I doubt I'd bother setting it up. I'd wait for the community add-on that is coming and use that.
