Readynas NV+ v1 booting problems

Postby Maarten_NL » Sat Aug 04, 2012 5:43 am

My Readynas NV+ was running sweet, booted once or twice a week to create a mirror of my main Readynas but suddenly it would not boot though the checking quota's. Tried booting with skipping of the quota's, then the Readynas seems to be online, but is taks ages to display the GUI and shares just timeout. I tried reinstalling the OS, did not solve the problem.

I noticed that there was something with the 2nd disk, so I removed it... readynas was still not working properly so I reinserted the 2nd disk, now it is again hanging on booting.... and resyncing volume... for 2 days now...

what to do?

And some old WinXP boxes

Open a tech support case at my.netgear.com and post your case number (edit the thread title i.e. subject of first post in the thread to include it).

NB: A ReadyNas is not an excuse not to have a backup. Fire, theft, multiple disk failures, other hardware failure, floods, user negligence etc. can all result in loss of data.
