Problem upgrading from Raidiator 4.1.7 with ReadyNAS NV+

Postby marcusp » Sun Aug 05, 2012 12:12 pm

Hello,

I've just tried to upgrade my readynas to the new 4.1.9 firmware but I encounter the same problem that last time with 4.1.8. I've got a message with a checksum problem...
I've tried the remote or local update: same problem. I've read several users had the same problem, but I never succeed in resolving mine :? ...
Does anyone have some advice ? I just precise that before 4.1.8 I never encountered this problem during upgrade.

Sounds like the OS partition is fairly full. Try contacting NetGear tech support at my.NetGear.com and post your case number in this thread.

NB: A ReadyNas is not an excuse not to have a backup. Fire, theft, multiple disk failures, other hardware failure, floods, user negligence etc. can all result in loss of data.

I forgot to update this post... The solution was to reinstall the OS and everything was fine.
