ReadyNas NV+ - IP camera management ?

Postby jacotez » Sun Oct 30, 2011 4:44 pm

Hello

I have a ReadyNas NV+ and I would like to manage my ip camera using my NAS.
Is it possible ?

I found the KMOTION module but it doesn't work for sparc.

Do you know what app can I use to manage my camera ?

Thanks a lot

It seems to exist a module, not supported by Netgear, to make videosurveillance.

Is anyone have an information about this component ?

Thanks

Sparc has a slow CPU and is stuck on an old kernel. It's highly unlikely there'll ever be an add-on for this kind of thing on the NV+. It might be time to consider getting a new NAS and transferring your data across the network to it.

NB: A ReadyNas is not an excuse not to have a backup. Fire, theft, multiple disk failures, other hardware failure, floods, user negligence etc. can all result in loss of data.

I've bought this NAS 6 months ago. This NAS is very usefull for me to do what I want (data storage, access by the web using ftp & HTTP).
I juste want to manage my ip cameras using this NAS. I do not plan to buy another one.

If someone knows a component that I can install on my NV+...

Thanks
