That only appears when I turn on the "Advertise AFP service over Bonjour" option, and I had turned it off for two reasons:sphardy wrote:So where is Humphries (AFP)?
1. It resulted in a superfluous "Humphries (CIFS)" or "ReadyNAS (CIFS)" entry in my Finder sidebar, even though the CIFS protocol is entirely disabled on my ReadyNAS.
2. I was still encountering TM/sharepoint confusion whereby sometimes "Media" would mount via TM's "ReadyNAS" rather than "ReadyNAS (AFP)," even though I wasn't back to the dismal point of getting the ghost shares (after changing the IP).
To follow this through yet again, I've re-enabled AFP advertising to see what happens. Right now my "Media" share is mounted via "ReadyNAS (AFP)" with the address:
afp://ReadyNAS (AFP)._afpovertcp._tcp.local/Media
I'm going to play with fire and switch on the TM share. I'll post an update if the "ReadyNAS" vs. "ReadyNAS (AFP)" mount confusion starts again.
