TimeMachine Says I Need To do A New Back-up

timemachine says it's 'completed a verification of my backups. to improve reliability, TM must create a new backup for you....'

this sounds not good.

we have 5 different backups on the r/nas from 5 different machine.
there are two that are giving us this trouble.

my r/nas isn't large enough to keep my existing TM Backup and do a new one, plus i don't want to lose
my existing TM backup, now a year old..

is there anything i can do to fix this?

What version of RAIDiator on the NAS?

What version of Mac OS X on the affected Macs?

This is a known issue with Time Machine due to a bug in Mac OS X Lion and affects Time Capsule users as well.
