Would be nice to expose this through something like OpenVPN, so it could work with the existing VPN software:

Another vote for a Linux client (command line or GUI). Part of the reason I bought a ReadyNAS was because the box specifically stated that it supported Linux. I still have the box it came in and here it what it says:

System Requirements
* Microsoft Windows Vista, XP Home or Pro (SP1 or SP2), 2000 (SP4), Macintosh OS-X, Linux
* Router and Broadband connection required for remote access features

Those two bullets are one after another, and frankly it is false advertising if there is indeed no way to do remote access from Linux.

Since it was mentioned that his was a small market share, I will chime in and add my "Yes, Please." A ReadyNAS Remote client for Linux (commandline first is great) would be greatly appreciated. (Ubuntu/Gnome would be a great place to start, IMHO, since this is the fastest growing distribution As far as I can tell).

Add me to any beta program.... Still waiting to receive my ReadyNAS, but I'll would want Linux (Ubuntu) support ASAP.

Glad I found ReadyNAS  , I stumbled across it when I was looking to build my own NAS using a MicroITX board, and realized that ReadyNAS would meet all of my requirements without having to burn a weekend to do it (for about the same cost  ).

Consider me another +1.
Command line would be fine.
Happy to beta test - we're using a mix of Windows and Linux machines here.

how is it possible that theres no ReadyNAS Remote for Linux!?!? Linux should be the first OS to have any program as it is much more common in any kind of server and back-up systems. Im happy with ReadyNAS but very disappointed with the lack of full availability of programs and apps for linux.. :-(
Im running Linux, MAC and Win, in that order, and Win equals pretty much 0 - Get Linux up on everything, and then deal with Mac and Win

I am the IT Manager for a local city government, and we are starting to implement Ubuntu Linux desktops as a replacement to Windows. Having ReadyNas Remote available for Linux is very important. So, add our company as those with "few demands."

I'd use a remote client on Linux/Ubuntu/Gnome if one were available. I have VISTA, WIN7, UBU all networked on the same segment,
but also have various PCs hooked up remotely at times. XP, XP PRO also included on the list of systems remotely connected.

I can access the NAS shares when PCs are on the same network segment locally. That just works. It would be nice to be able to
remotely do the same thing (although more slowly).
