DLNA Playlists

Postby peterdgreenway » Wed Jan 27, 2010 11:51 am

Now that DLNA playlists are supported in the latest version of the firmware, does anyone know how to create DLNA.

I have got my iTunes playlists being picked up by FireFly and would ideally like to use / convert these for use within DLNA as well.

Can anyone help ?

Sorry - my earlier post was not clear.

What format does the playlist need to be on the ReadyNAS before it is picked up by DLNA devices. I can see the folder but it will not pick up anything, despite having a M3U playlist in it.

So need a bit of help people - has anyone got this working ?

I think I am curious about this as well.

I have a Roku Soundbridge and a Logitech Squeezebox. I upgraded to 1 gig of ram and the Squeezebox seems to be working pretty well.

The Soundbridge is working well also but I am unable to figure out setting up playlists for it.

The Soundbridge does not seem to like the new Squeezebox software and I think the DLNA would be plenty fine except I can't figure out playlists for it.

I think Firefly would be an answer, but I removed it and I cannot seem to find the proper file to reinstall it.

So I need to figure out playlists for DLNA or how to reinstall Firefly.

Thanks for any thoughts or replies!

Hi folks,

I have the same problem with the ReadyDLNA server of my ReadyNAS Duo.
Update check says that the latest firmware is in use (RAIDiator 4.1.6)
Despite having playlists in m3u format in my media share they are somehow not presented to my DLNA streaming clients. ( e.g. Freecom MusicPal)
Did anyone figure out yet how to get playlists to work ?

Thanks for any hints or ideas on this problem.

Please try the ReadyDLNA 1.0.17 add-on from here, which has playlist support: viewtopic.php?f=76&t=27946

RAIDiator 4.1.7 for NV+/Duo will have it included. RAIDiator-x86 4.2.9+ for NVX/Pro already has it.
