X6 Boot Failed or Hung at Quota Check

Postby poikwan » Wed May 02, 2012 10:31 pm

Hi,

My ReadyNAS X6 suddenly refused to boot up and hung at "Quota Check" status for hours. I left it for more than 24 hours and the status never changed.

Anyone to share and advise what to do next?

Thanks.

I've tried OS-reinstall but the system still refused to boot up. The power LED blink slowly forever.

Desperate help is needed.

Many thanks in advance.

Do you have a good backup?

NB: A ReadyNas is not an excuse not to have a backup. Fire, theft, multiple disk failures, other hardware failure, floods, user negligence etc. can all result in loss of data.

Do you happen to remember what version of RAIDiator you're running?

Hi,

I have a readynas nv+ with the same problem. It was disconnected from a power source and after restarting and waiting for several hours it seemed to have crashed. I restarted again and it's stuck at quota check 8.3%.

Is there a single user boot mode for the device - something that would let me get in and access the data? I tried ssh already but it doesn't respond. I can ping though.

please help - I don't have a back up either.
