ReadyNAS NV compatability with LTO2 backup device

Postby egd » Mon Feb 13, 2006 6:38 am

Hi

I'm looking to purchase two ReadyNAS NV's but would need to be able to back them up using a LTO2 backup device: (http://www.tandberg.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=173&Itemid=245&sid=1&paction=7)

Any idea whether they would be compatible - presumably backing up over a Gigabit Ethernet connection should make this a non-issue as the backup software can reside on another box/server and all that is then required is that the box hosting the backup software has read access to the ReadyNAS NV folders storing the data?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts / input.

You just need to make sure your softwware supports reading from a network drive.
