Can someone please tell me how to correctly upgrade the Transmission on Duo? I have 1.55Light and want to install 1.56Light. Should I simply run upgrade without even stopping the service or maybe I must full-uninstall first, reboot... etc???
Thx

An upgrade should be ok :)

It isn't possible for me to upload a torrent via url. It did however work with the 1,51 version. I'm using Vista 32 and Ie8.
I have uninstalled the previous versions and installed the new one. Also did a reboot between installations.

Guys, maybe I'm stupid... but what I did wrong - I run the update and reboot and 1.56Light set as it must but... when I open the web interface... there are no torrents
It does not see the torrents that were at work by 1.55Light = how to add them back?

Nothing - there was something but after update it became empty. I had few torrents and already re-added them but if I have more it would be a big problem.
I think maybe... it was my fault - the Transmission was disabled when I run the update. Can it be the reason?

Could you maybe make the path-names optionally variable?
It is pretty hard to change any of the file locations now. I mostly like to change the /c/media/BitTorrent folder names.
Also don't want scripts under /c/media

And if I change the names manually in all the config files, will you make sure a next update won't change it back again?

you can change the path in Transmission Web interface

for the rest I will move scripts and config file somewhere else : (it's in my to-do list but it's require time )

/c/addons-config/Transmission for config
/c/addons-scripts/Transmission for scripts

Running currently 1.56Light without that URL download fix thing:
1) I have 10Mbit ADSL connection. If I limit the download speed to 750Kb/sec Transmission can't stick with it - it downloads 185-375Kb/sec changing the speed every sec and only sometimes get 650-750Kb/sec. At the same time it sees all available peers. If I set speed to Unlimited everything is okay - it sticks with the max speed and I have stable download from the same amount of peers. But in that case something becomes overloaded and web interface is "unstable" and here goes the #2 below
2) At full download speed web interface loses connection with Duo and I get a dialog with 2 buttons "Dismiss" and "Details". If I click Dismiss there is a chance web interface will become available again but if I click details a standard Vista dialog pop-up with only OK button and... nothing in place where text must be :)
When I used that gui thing instead of web interface I had similar problems with connection when download runs full-speed.
Also, would you be so kind to answer to my previous post about problem with update? Maybe I'm alone here so... stupid or there is another thread here with all instructions... I don't know... but when I'm not 100% sure what to do I always search for step-by-step instructions. You told me "update must be okay". I updated and lost torrents = not good. It meas I did something wrong or there is a bug in code. And one more - I thought Frontview is security safe enough and some controls which were available at the beginning (like ports, pass etc) were in place. Now there is the only one button to start web interface and a light-green text below. Button is okay but I can start it without the button - just from favorites. And to change pass, ports etc I have to "directly" edit config file(s). This is not something usual you must agree :)
