I have a small business with 3 computers, and have purchased a readynas device to centralise to use as a file and application server.
I run 2 products:
- TSM for invoicing
- ACT for my CRM
- Outlook (accessing via POP)
Each of the computers is configured to locate their respective databases on the ReadyNAS. In addition, I also have some shared word documents etc...
The network is connected 2 4 port DLink routers and basic shared folders.
This is nothing fancy, but was the next step up from having the other machines accessing the 1 machine.
However... I am having many issues. The connection keeps dropping out, frequently have to restart the machines and I need to work out why. I know the ReadyNAS is essentially a home device, however I do not think that the load I am putting on it is very high? Should I set this up differently?
Appreciate any feedback.
