ReadyNAS 1100 - compatible 1G memory

Postby hezner » Wed Oct 28, 2009 8:01 am

My one year old ReadNAS 1100 seems to have a failing memory module. I've seen the memory listed for my unit in the HCL but have also seen some posts indicating that the Kingston memory module listed will not work.

If anyone has recently replaced their 1G memory in a newer ReadyNAS 1100 without problems, please tell me what worked for you. I don't want to purchase memory that will not work but do need to get this issue resolved.

Thanks for your assistance with this.

If it is only one year old, try contacting support to get the module replaced under warranty.

Thanks. I did contact support and they did RMA a new memory module to me. It was installed a couple of days ago and so far everything seems to be working fine. :)

Just for anyone's information, the memory that Netgear shipped me was the Unigen #UG012806688LM-GJF which is on the HCL.

The memory that went bad was in the 1100 when I got it. The sticker on one side said Crucial #CT12864X335.K.16TKY and on the other side said Samsung #M470L2923DV0-CB3 0832. That memeory had worked fine for a year.
