I have a lot of multi-disc albums in my CD collection, and I've been ripping each of these as a single album, with the disc number correctly tagged.
In the release notes for ReadyDLNA on 2009/10/15, this feature is mentioned: "When clients sort by track, sort by disc first if available."
I'm using both a Sonos system and a Linn DS, using KinskyDesktop. The Sonos system correctly sorts all tracks by disc first, but KinskyDesktop does not. It sorts by track number only, so all the track 1 songs appear first, then all the track 2's, etc.
I don't know if this is an issue with KinskyDesktop, ReadyDLNA, or something else. Since the Sonos is reading the disc number tags, I suspect it's an issue with KinskyDesktop.
Any suggestions? I am using dBpoweramp for ripping, and my file names include the track number but not the disc number.
Below is an example of the file naming for each of the track 1's from a multi-disc album.
Alfred Brendel - 01 - Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op.15 - I. Allegro con brio.m4a
Alfred Brendel - 01 - Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Op.37 - I. Allegro con brio.m4a
Alfred Brendel - 01 - Piano Concerto No. 5 in E flat major, op.73 'Emperor' - Allegro.m4a
Thanks for any help.
