Upgrade wizd 0.12h pvb.12 to wizd 0.12h pvb.17

Postby llevet » Wed Apr 26, 2006 10:37 am

Hi,

Is it possible to upgrade version from wizd 0.12h pvb.12 to wizd 0.12h pvb.17 (ref : http://www.geocities.com/flipflop7146/wizd.html) ?

The Wizd version 0.12h pvb.17 include the possibility to stream directly a content of ISO file from DVD to media player (like DNX-8620).

Thank a lot !!!

Bonjour Ludo,

just curious. What kind of DVD do you have? I'm been looking into something like that (what the pages of wizd shows) too.

Hi Skywalker,

I'm just verify on firmware 3.00b2-p1-T1, still wizd 0.12h pvb.12 :(

So, now it is version wizd 0.12h pvb.21

Wizd is moved to sourceforge now ! (great)

New site : http://wizd.sourceforge.net/

Features aviable :

Wizd is serving all your media files (video, audio, photo...) to your networked player.

- automatically detected by your player
- browse faster than ever through your media
- no aditionnal server required (Apache, PHP...)
- low memory usage (less than 10 MB)
- fully customizable
- read DVD-ISO backups and standard DVD backups
- bookmark feature for MPEG movies
- tumbnails mode to preview your pictures
- free and open-source :)

....

Thank's.

Ludo.

First off, please forgive my lack of totally understanding what I speak about there... this is new territory for me so...

I have a X6 which I would like to be able to stream video (primarily) to a streamer in my livingroom.
At the moment it is done using a PC and a play@tv (NMP-4000).
In order to use the NMP-4000 I need to mount shares on a PC such that NMP-4000 can see the files. Works alright...

My intention is to get a new HD-capable streamer, and also hopes to use the X6 directly to the streamer, i.e. the PC is turned off.
Will this little Wizd program enable me to do just that? (with all the nice options for a useable GUI) (most of the Syabas based player looks really bad GUI wise) (I would love a streamer with MCE GUI).

Am I assuming correctly that Wizd will be installed on the X6 and from there can present itself and the mediafiles to a UPnp enabled streamer?

While I'm at it... anybody knows of any 480i/576i HDMI capable streamers (I want to use my DVDO VP30 to its full potensial)?

Hopefully I didn't offended anybody
So many movies, so little time...
