(8/13@12P PST) 15 minute downtime expected for ReadyNAS.com

Postby chirpa » Thu Aug 12, 2010 7:31 pm

As you have probably noticed, the performance on the site hasn't been great the last few days.

To resolve this, our IT department is replacing some core firewalls in our server location. This work will be performed on August 13th (eek Friday the 13th!) at Noon Pacific time. It should not take longer than 15 minutes to perform. During this time, ReadyNAS.com and ReadyNAS Remote services will be affected.

Existing ReadyNAS Remote connections will continue working, it will only affect new connections being established. For our avid forum community, take lunch or a walk in the fresh air for that period. ;)

When it is all done, download speeds for firmware updates/etc should return to fast speeds again :)

Thank you for your patience.

Issue was resolved in under 15 minutes. Speeds appear to be back to normal.

Just tried from an external site across the pond:
Code: Select all
2010-08-13 13:37:38 (4.13 MB/s) - `RAIDiator-x86-4.2.13.1' saved [61835264/61835264]
