There's nothing else I can do? Would it be better to roll back to the previous firmware? Is there an estimate as to when the .14 firmware will be made final?

Another question. Does the .14 beta contain a fix for this specific issue?

No, but I can't reproduce it in the .14 beta.

Grievous - Were you able to reproduce this in .13?

I noticed this problem while running 4.2.13. I just upgraded to 4.2.15 and am still experiencing this problem.

The workaround(removing Domain Users Group) is allowing me to do what I need for now, but I'd be interested in a fix as I'll need to assign rights to the "Domain Users" group during my next phase of migration.

I also have the same problem with version 4.2.13 and 4.2.15.

I have my share on the NAS named as "Production" with domain user set to "this folder only" and "read/open only". I made all the sub directory with different access right, they all work fine, but for some reason my \Production share change the Domain User setting to "this folder and sub folder and files".

I have tried to revert it back to what I wanted first, which is "this folder only", but I get the same error message, I do not have the right to modify those setting.

I have tried deleting the Domain user group, but it won't let me save the change. For that matter it won't let me change whatsoever on the share. Impossible to create any new user or delete anything.

Ced, You said that you specified domain user permissions, and then tried to delete them?

Here's what I want. A screenshot of your Frontview permissions, a screenshot of your share permissions in Windows, and then a screenshot of the folder permissions. However I want the screenshots to show what exactly it is you're trying to set the permissions to, before you hit "apply". Send them to me as logs(information is in my signature).

To be able to modify the permissions on a folder inside a share and add write rights for a specific user, I had to manually add the user as a write enabled user in the frontview share view.

Shouldn't I be able to manage all permissions at the directory level without messing with the share level?
Os is this how I am supposed to do it : allow everyone read/write at the share level, and then, adjust who gets to see and access what at the active directory level with file permission level?

It looks like I'm having the "permission denied" when I try to allow a user at the file access level while they are not allowed at the share level.

Yes, refer to my post above. I still can't reproduce it based on what you guys have told me, and obviously I can't just say "well it works for me" and leave it at that. There's something getting lost in translation here(I mean that in the sense of jotting down the steps taken) and I want to get to the bottom of it.

I am not sure if my problem is same than other users but it seems to have same. I get all kind of error messages when try to change or remove permission from NAS share (folders).

Problem was when I was log in to windows with my domain user account (which has some rights to these folders). After that I open explorer and RAIDar with domain admin accounts and try to change permission or delete group. No luck and I gets these error messages.

When I log in other PC with local admin and open Explorer with domain admin (actually only open \\NAS with it) I can do what ever I want. I hope this help someone...
