Close. es (2nd person singular of sum) means you are. Not sure if I got the case right (my Latin is a bit rusty), but the phrase means you are wise my friend. amicus is the Latin word for friend (e.g. like you might have friends in your profile on the forum). Yes, I did assume you're male (a common assumption made using Latin).

Edit: I did get it wrong, I used the nominative when I should have used the vocative case. Oh well
