ReadyDlna and ps3 problems

hi

my ps3 has no problem in finding my nas server but when i copy new files to the server or removing or making som new folders on my nas the ps3 cant see them or making the files lay arounde and not in the folders....

but when i am using ps3 media server on my imac there is no problem going truh the imac with ps3 media server it can se the folders like i se them on the nas no probs....

why is the ps3 making problems and i would like not to use the ps3 media server on the imac because then i need to turn the imac on everytime i want to stream and i bought the nas so i did not need to do that...

Whilst the ps3 seems to have many problems with media streaming, this sounds like you just need to rescan the files on the nas. Try logging into the setting on the nas, under services, streaming services I think there's the readydlna section and a rescan button. Give this a try. Don't know why it gets out of sync but has happened to me a few times particularly when moving a lot of files about.

I have the above exact issue that DIVX files play fine on my PS3 from Readynas but MP4 encoded with H264 do not!
