For the shared albums the order of photos is the remains the click time. Old photos show up first.

I agree that this is not the expected behavior after you have specified the order to be file name. We will fix this issue.

Did the fix to order the photos displayed on the client application by filename make it into the latest radiator beta?

I updated to Radiator 4.1.7. The Ready NAS Photo says it is version 2.2 in the add-on list. How can I tell what version of desktop software I installed. I did it this morning, but still don't have the "sort" option in manage photos.

Well, I think I have to agree with lots of other posts, this program is pretty frustrating. After upgrading to 4.1.7 yesterday and downloading what I thought was the most recent desktop application, i found out today it wasn't. So, I downloaded the RC1. Now, I have access to sort from the manage screen. I tested the album a few ways, initally with the large original 10 MP phote files. The original large photos were in date/timestamp order so they ordered correctly. But when I shrunk them down hoping to speed up the experience for remote users looking at an album, the new files lost the date/time stamp. Another 30 minutes of research to figure out I could rename them numerically to get the correct order back by using the file name. They sort fine in creating the album, but not so when shared.

Besides taking 70 seconds to load the album even on my home network, this seems to be a second rate piece of software, with Mid-2009 being the last upgrade.

Drag and drop should be the minimum ordering capability and it should flow thru to the shared album. It seems to freeze or pause numerous times.

As far as I know, I don't have other NAS issues or problems with my NV.
