The Photos II page mentions Eye-Fi support for transferring directly to readynas. Has anyone tried this and can it do both Photos and Videos? Also any pointers on how to set it up would be good too.

Working on a how-to, but in the meantime, go to the Settings (at top left), Preferences, Remote Upload, then check "Enable Remote Upload". You'll see the Eye-Fi FTP setup info that you enter in the Eye-Fi Center for FTP.

If you don't see the Remote Upload option, try updating your Photos II add-on.

Question:
in ReadyNAS Photos II, what is the mechanism used to upload pictures from the Eye-Fi card to the NAS?
When you mentioned FTP settings it sounds to me like the picture is uploaded to the Eye-Fi server first and then getting downloaded back to the ReadyNAS via the web.
Or does ReadyNAS Photos II have something like the "Eye-Fi helper" running on the ReadyNAS so that it can receive pictures from the Eye-Fi card without going outside of my private LAN?
The reason why I'm asking is because if the pictures have to make the trip up to the Eye-Fi server then back to the NAS, the transfer speed would be much slower than if it could transfer it directly from inside the private LAN

The photos will get relayed by the Eye-Fi server to Photos II.

You mean you want to transfer your pictures from your eye-fi card to your Readynas without using photos II right?
All you need to do is follow the instructions on how to enable the FTP server for your Readynas(You might Need to sign up for some type of dynamic dns service if your ip address changes often) then in eye-fi center for the online option, select FTP and then enter the information from when you set up the FTP server(using the ip address assigned by your Internet provider). Once all the set up is complete u should be able to send pics to your nas. I set mine up to send pictures to my duo v1. Note that when you choose this method of transfer the pictures go from your card up to eye-fi's servers through the Internet, then back down to your nas through the Internet so the transfer speeds will be slower unless you have a really fast Internet connection.

I just went to try to set this up in eye-fi, and it looks as if it will only support one on-line option at a time, unless I am missing something. This limits the usefulness of this feature enormously - I already have a pro flickr acct set up for all my photos - nice to have a backup in the cloud. But I'd like it very much if the eye-fi card could talk directly to the NAS instead of having to go through one of our other computers on the network first. Is there any way to get the eye-fi cards to talk directly to the nas on the LAN w/o using the ftp online service slot? I'd like to keep the flickr option active.
