Problems with Squeezecenter SetUp

Postby spinaltap » Sun Nov 06, 2011 10:33 am

Up until recently I didn't have any problems using/accessing my Squeezebox/ReadyNAS combo - that is, until I upgraded to Logitech Media Server 7.7.0.

I'm running an SB3 and ReadyNAS Duo, and I have the latest version of RAIDar. I installed the LMS 7.7.0 (and iTunes Server add-on for 10.5) and restarted the ReadyNAS Duo via RAIDar - and then entered Front Row > 'streaming services' > 'SqueezeCenter > Setup.

At this stage the browser simply states that it cannot connect to the server. After several frustrated attempts I reverted back to Squeeze Server 7.5.5 and rebooted the ReadyNAS. Now, all works as expected with access to the browser for Squeezebox Server settings.

I would appreciate some pointers on where I am going wrong in utilising the latest Logitech Media Server 7.7.0 software.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but who can explain why this is (almost) the only program update that forces you to clear all previous settings? I have programmed about 20 pod senders (took about 30 minutes), and even if I write them down before clearing the settings, it takes quite a lot of time to redo this (and other personalization) every upgrade. I have seen some people who have upgraded without doing the clearing (and it has worked), but I don't want to ignore the very clear advise from Logitech/Netgear.
