ReadyNAS Remote Win7 64 Ultimate error

Postby mortenma » Thu Apr 19, 2012 12:42 am

When I try to connect to ReadyNAS, I get this error message:

\ \ 5.173.XX.XXX is not available. You may not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of the server to determine if you have access permissions.

Logon failure: account has been temporarily disabled.

I am using Win 7 64bit Ultimate, and having the latest versions of remote for both client and NAS.
Have read the FAQ, Leaf and regedit proposals, but no luck.

Do also have a Win XP pc, which gives no errors with Remote.

Suggestions anyone?

Is the username to login to the PC having issues the same as the sharename of a share under Shares > Share Listing on the NAS?

NB: A ReadyNas is not an excuse not to have a backup. Fire, theft, multiple disk failures, other hardware failure, floods, user negligence etc. can all result in loss of data.

Yes, there is a share with same name as the login to the win 7 computer.
But, this is not the same user as I try to connect with Remote.

I have the exactly same problem. Have had my ReadyNas DUO working for a long time, and dod no changes with it, but suddenly I lost access to two of my Shares. Have tried several things, but can't access them from any clients, nor from the HTTPS service. Please help!! All my files are "lost" to me at this moment.
