Still not possible to change snapshot max space?

Postby hawkun » Wed May 09, 2012 2:00 am

For some reason the maximum space for a snapshot on my Pro 2 is 10 GB. I want to change it to, lets say 100 GB. There are enough free space on the disk.

I've been told that this isn't possible to do in a secure way without completely erasing the disk. Is this still the case? If so, why can't you clever guys at Netgear solve it in an RAIDiator update?

If I decide to make the change and take the risk of my data being corrupted:
1. How exactly do I do it?
2. Is it possible to afterwards verify that the data hasn't been corrupted? How do I do it?

Thanks!

Another version of the same question and possibly just as important.

If I expand my array by increasing the number of disks and during the expanison, the system decides to increase the size of my snapshot, what can I do to correct this unwanted change.
