Say It Isn't So

Postby PapaBear » Fri Jun 22, 2012 10:23 am

When I read Chirpa's announcement that he is leaving Netgear, my heart sank. First Yoh Dah and now Chirpa. Where does that leave the Jedi Council?

It is so :(

There is still a lot of the Jedi Council left. They just don't have the time/resources to post on the forum as much these days. Han Solo, Skywalker, etc are still here to help out where they can.

This is sad news. When yoh-dah left chirpa was the social media guy for the ReadyNAS. With him gone I guess I'll be a user playing a lone hand when I can.

As well as the Jedi Council there are some NetGear support people who frequent this forum and help out us users.

Yes, PapaBear, I suddenly had cold sweats that Netgear was moving the deck chairs around sans a roadmap. I have worked with several 'Padawans', but still, it seems like the Jedi Council is being gutted. I so appreciate the help shared by the Counsel members. I also believe the their time spent may be a 'labor of love', often off the clock. I get this. Off-clock hours do grind on the personal plan and put little food on the table.

Chirpa,
My very best to you wherever you land again............. Please do NOT be a stranger!
Thank you,
Duncan

Crikey!

A guy gets wrapped up in a couple of major projects (new library & aquatic centre opening next week, plus a new organization-wide phone system) and more Jedi's are dropping like flies. As much as I'm sad to see Chirpa go, I am genuinely happy that he's moving on to bigger & better things on his own terms. Unfortunately, there are many folks that have decisions about their employment status made for them, or worse, there are things in their personal lives (health, family, etc.) that are take priority.

Good luck, furry friend!

It goes without saying that Chirpa's been an unbelievable asset for the ReadyNAS community. Thanks for all your support bud, and the best of luck to you!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must get back to my morning nap. 8)

Stop sucking up Yoh-dah :P You know you are the king anyways, I wouldn't even be in this position without you :P

I'll still be around here once in awhile, I'm still running a ReadyNAS at home.

I'm not sure he knows what a "nap" is.

Can't prove it by us.

Seriously (momentary violation of Cabana violation) - have a good time and come back rested.
