Thansk for your psot...I too am migrating from 2TB to 3 TB, and had the exact same issue, nowhere that I saw did it indicate to reboot the thing, in fact it said you could swap the drive with or without pwoering it off. It detected the new drive, said it would rebuild with disk 1...and then gave em zero status it was actually doing anything.
the unit indicated disk 1 was still the Hitachi and was bad, but the Radiator software did detect the new WDC on that channel...and the unti wasn't going Idle...i thought ti was working in the background...so 24 hours later, I figure ok it shoulda been done by now, wtf.
So I look for estimates on time or ways to monitor status and come up blank.
Then I see this, and am happily rebuilding after reboot at 65 some odd mb/s and am sitting at 3.3% eta 7.5 hours.
thank you, thank you.
One drive to go, then I can expand
So semi related question, I took one of the 2 TB drives out and decided to try to stick it in my EVA 9150 to see if it'll like it...but I havent turned it on to format it yet thinking that if the rebuild fails, i could re-replace the disk in the unit and it would be like nothing happened....
Likely? or is that false hope and just go ahead and format it?
