I've seen some other threads with this general question, but they seem a little dated...
I've been performing an rsync backup of a share containing files and folders with readonly and/or hidden attributes. The backup copies the archive attribute, but not readonly or hidden. The file owners and permissions are correctly copied.
The backup is ReadyNAS NV+ to ReadyNAS NV+ -- both running Radiator v3.01c1-p4 [1.00a032]. Both are in domain security mode, and both are on the same subnet. The backup is "pushed" -- the backup NAS is the rsync server, and the non-backup NAS is executing the job. The backup NAS has the rsync user set, and the non-backup uses that custom user and connects successfully (obviously).
It appears that the *only* problem with the backup are certain file attributes not being copied -- again, the ownership/permissions/archive attrib transfer fine, and there are no errors in the backup logs.
My question, then: is this a limitation of the NAS's rsync? It appears the filesystem supports the attributes, as the original shares show them correctly. Is there some configuration i've missed?
