Use A Parallel Printer With your ReadyNAS

Postby benawhite » Wed Nov 07, 2007 11:08 am

I found that purchasing a $10 USB to Parallel Port adaptor allowed me to use my older laser printer with my ReadyNAS NV+.

Make note of which model adapter you used. Not all adapters will work with the system, you got lucky:)

Unfortunately this is a generic adaptor that I purchased about a year ago.
There are no markings that indicate it's brand or model #.

Next time I stop by Microcenter where it was purchased, I'll see if I can find out this info.

If you download all logs, and check out usb_devices.log, it should give some clues on who makes it.
