Does/Will the new ReadyNAS NV support rsync over SSH?

I have been holding off buying a ReadyNAS because I need this feature. I will be backing up between work and home and abolutely need to do it over SSH.

You can set this up after we allow shell access, probably sometime in Q2.

Great news. I think we are many who look forward to that. I have placed an order for the ReadyNAS NV with Atacom.

Yes! This will be a solution I can use for a Linux client host.

The WAN is really a tough environment in which to make things reliable. So this is really going to be the preferred solution, i.e. rsync over SSH. This should be quite reliable and even speedy depending on encryption selection.
