weird iscsi permission issue

i have setup my nas as an iscsi target and have initiated connections from 2 computers.

- say i add a folder to the iscsi location from workstation A
- I am not able to view that folder from workstation B when i go to that same location

Can anyone help?

iSCSI allows your client PC to mount a target as if it were a local drive.

Do you put the same physical drive in two computers at once? Of course not.

The same kind of thing applies to iSCSI. Your symptoms are expected. Trying to mount the same target on multiple machines will likely lead to data corruption and data loss. Use a separate target for each workstation or mount the target on one workstation and share it from there to the other machine.

NB: A ReadyNas is not an excuse not to have a backup. Fire, theft, multiple disk failures, other hardware failure, floods, user negligence etc. can all result in loss of data.
