Upgrading memory on the ReadyNAS can improve performance for memory intensive tasks such as rsync backups, indexing of media files (i.e. Slim Server), and accessing folders containing a large number of files. Large file streaming has shown to improve about 12% when going from standard 256MB to 1GB (Sparc).
